The texture on the object is really interesting, I love the speckled coloring on it.
The weird globe-like framework that shows faintly in the upper right makes me think of those sketches by DaVinci, of his inventions. It makes for an interesting contrast between the futuristic looking contraption there, and the aged parchment sort of texture.
